The thing is : They don't come off rough though. They were simple and easy to understand. Your original reply to the post was literally "*sigh* Don't be that dude, dude." If you were trying to be helpful, then I would say that was "rough". I don't know how posting "don't tell someone how to feel" or "just telling them that everything is fine doesn't make it better" is rough.... seems pretty easy to understand and not rude at all. It's like your trying to defend yourself by making up stuff.

I didn't say anything against you trying to be a better person, that's cool. I just said that your original reply(which honestly sounded more like telling someone not to be emo, then something i'd assume is helpful in connotation) was a bit janky. This is all probably pointless though, because I doubt the person was being serious. Even if they were though, I don't feel like talking on their behalf. I'm merely communicating that telling other people how to post how they feel, or to cheer them up by saying "everything is fine" is dismissive, and it doesn't help. Either way, a mod will probably yell at us both, or ban us both for being off topic

Oh well, I'm just being honest, not trying to be a douche. I really didn't expect one correction to blow up like this, but you seem hellbent on defending yourself. I'm not making fun of your movie either, there's a lot of entertainment that can strive us to be a better person but it feels out of place in this discussion.
