there are Many VPN Hosts who have the agreement they don't log information if they ever violated that and accused a user of their VPN they would insantly lose all their subscribers. A VPN is much more secure then a ISP which is completely trackable by goverments, hackers and pretty much anyone.

A VPN alone is not anymore secure than your regular connection ... (a VPN is just a glorified proxy)

All VPNs log information since they can see your traffic, it's what they do with the information that's up to them ...

Plus the vast majority of the connection quality of VPNs are poor so how does paying more for a slower internet connection make sense ?

Many paid VPNs have a no-logging policy and don't keep any of the sensative data, some throw everything away and others only keep basic IP information (like mine) either way if they sell or give your data away they will cross the policy you as a payer have made with them, they have policies in place that prevent them from selling out their customers so what you are saying isn't true. A ISP cannot see your data anymore since a tunnel is set up with encryption between you and the VPN so you are not right. When you use a quality VPN your data WILL be hidden.

I've never needed to use one yet, although I've considered using one to see what shows I may be missing on Netflix, lol

Its really easy to unlock netflix content by being able to select a region so deff try it out sometimes, many VPN's have a 30 day trial or money back rule so you could even try it for free with a good VPN
