Nintendo has crossed the line that even EA, Capcom, and Activision hasn't!

I mean why are you complaining now? The first ammibo game, Smash Brothers, locked the AI training mode behind amiibo too, even though technicalyl you wouldnt actually need an amiibo to store some save file for your AI (as novel as it is).

Nintendo has been locking stuff in their games behind amiibo since the start. 

Some amiibo are pretty bad in terms of locking content away, but to stack Smash Bros amiibo with them, which just allows for a customizable ai character that can be used with any person's game, seems like a stretch.
