This is exactly why things like parity exist. Developers most of the times try to make the competing versions look kind of similar. They'd cut their own flesh if the difference is too huge. I don't think it's great but it's totally understandable from a business perspective.

Just look at PS4 vs X1 versions...PS4 had a much higher bandwidth and roughly 40% more GPU power (same as the difference between X1X and Pro). How often was the difference between the two versions more than a slightly higher resolution, better AA or sightly better shadows and effects.

PS4 version will in most cases be the main development target anyway, as it will be a question of 65 million against 32 million against 4-5 million against 0 possible sales.

Many devs are already harnessing the extra power of the Pro compared to the XBO and regular PS4 versions. Why would it now be different for the XBX?

Not really true....only very few really do and it will most likely be the same with the X1X. For above mentioned reasons, at least until more of those upgraded consoles will be on the market.

Yes, it's really true. There's nothing non factual about what I said.

And you say it yourself. The PS4 already enjoys versions of games with higher resolution and better overall picture quality. What more do you think people should expect? That's the point of those consoles. To get a better image quality, and if at all possible, better performance.

There are numerous titles now with a Pro mode that enhances the picture quality and performance. The same thing will happen for the XBX, and these versions will look and perform even better than on the Pro.
