I was interested in this game too.

I think the game was fantastic because it combined yhe good things of old snd new R&C games. Sure the story was a bit dull but the game itself was the best entry since A crack in time for me. I scanned trough the video and 90% was whining this isn't exactly the same as the original. Newsflash it's a reboot not a remake.

Would you expect him/ her to say otherwise?

Considering before that this same employee is a straight shooter, yes, I would. This is a studio that released five games in 2016 and then zero in 2017. IG tends to release multiple medium-to-large games in a short span, every other year, who currently has nothing else revealed. The fact that we've heard nothing of another game yet from IG says a lot when they usually release smaller games in between like clockwork!

By all means you don't have to take my word on it, but going by what I know from following IG pretty heavily, and knowing Vitti over the years from forum interaction and such, him saying this goes beyond PR. Especially since he's not one of the PR guys, he just hangs out on the discord lol

Oh, THAT video. The one where he nostalgia bombs the old games, gets sidetracked by insulting ACiT (considered either the best or the second best game), and pulls the usual gaming "DAE think this game that came out last year was actually BAD???" And then he capitalizes on virality by launching his patreon that same day.

The narrative leaves some to be desired but that guy goes well beyond the narrative to trash the game's rep in every way imaginable. In reality it's functionally the best Ratchet in terms of core gameplay, with a story we already saw once before, done slightly worse. And it's $10 now!

Interesting perspectives. I enjoyed the video and sort of could see where he was coming from with some points and disagreed with others where I felt he was nitpicking.

If I had a PS4, I'd still pick up R&C but lament some of the design decisions made.
