I have to disagree. Of course, its fine to have an opinion. However, I find it hard to overate a game that I invested so much time, so much that I even had a 10+ hour play session for this particular game. I rarely do that due to other priorities, but I was so engulfed with the world (which I don't believe is lifeless) and the ability to discover something new along the way, that I was just focused on the game. Very few games in my life has allowed me to do that. The atmosphere, the placement of the music, the quality of the music itself (and what was shown from behind the scenes), the puzzles in the shrines, the emphasis on exploration and creating your own legend, and the survival elements of this game really blew me away. And I have to agree with whoever mentioned the story being discovered through game play and exploration. I don't really mind that as it helps me create my own story and share my experiences with others. This game...I haven't played in a while due to new games and other priorities, but damn, if I have an opportunity to play more of BoTW, I will not hesitate, especially once all the DLC are released. Is it the GOAT? I don't know, but its up there for me.
