The main thing I'd like to know is about the whole "resist or embrace" narrative choice thing. Does that actually mean anything or is it just purely a gimmick? |
Sure!
So when you defeat a boss you get what's called an Elder Shard (mini-bosses grant 1/3 of a Shard). You can either use these Shards to power up your abilities or you can destroy them.
If you power up then you'll be more powerful but you'll become "corrupted." This changes the final boss you encounter and the final ending.
If you destroy the shards you'll get extra currency, new upgrade options in the skill tree, a different final boss, and a different ending.
So making that choice affects your moveset, the bosses, and the ending.
Hope that helps!
