I can see said product becoming "completely unnecessary and worthless" only if the person buying said product, in this case an X1, would game on PC 100% of the time if given the choice between PC and console. Some people like both in different situations.
Also, X1 losing a game to PC doesn't render those X1 games unplayable. Killer Instinct is still perfectly playable on X1 despite the fact that the game is also coming to PC. Nier Automata coming to PC does not render the game unplayable on PS4... Unless of course the PS4 crashes every time it tries to run NA now that NA is also available on PC. I highly doubt that's the case.
