I am getting a PS4 very soon, but still don't know if I want to get a PS4 Pro or not. I have a 4k television, and I am an image quality whore, but I am worried that not enough games I am interested in support the pro's better hardware to warrant an extra $100 and it seems as if the majority of games don't support true 4k? I could probably spend that money on an SSD or two games for the console instead. Looking at the list of enhanced games here  : I am interested in Ratchet & Clank, Horizon Zero Dawn, Final Fantasy XV, The Last Guardian, Nioh, and God of War. Do you think that the PS4 Pro felt worth it when you played these games in their enhanced vs. standard versions? Anything that is multiplat I'd rather play on PC, by the way.

Without reading all of the other replies, I can say that I am surprised that you are an image quality whore.  Yet you are buying a PS4 right now, and even considerinag not getting the pro?

To ME : An image quality whore would have had a current gen console almost 4 years ago if you console game at all.  An image quality whore would have had the OG PS4 and already upgraded to the pro last year.  An image quality whore would be extremely interested in getting the X1X because of the few multiplats that don't always come to PC having what will be the best console experience.  An image quality whore probably wouldn't even own a console, they would invest every dime into their PC to get max settings out of every title.

I myself just got my first PS4 45 days ago(a pro of course).  No regrets in waiting and no regrets in getting the pro over the standard.  Without owning the OG PS4, I probably won't know what I could have been missing, as I won't know the difference.  I figured that why not spend the extra 25% to get the best version of PS4 games and have the chance to do the best version of PSVR if I want later.  I would have had the PS4pro last year had it had a 4k Bluray player...  Bought another XB1s instead, cheaper than a 4k blu ray stand alone...

I'm a PC gamer and play most of my games at 1440p/4k with some more demanding games at 1080p. I'd rather play at 1440p 30fps than 1080p 60fps for most games (besides action games.) When it comes to visuals I put image quality above all else. I'd rather a clean image with no aliasing or artifacts with ugly textures than great textures with a blurry/artifacted image. The artifacts distract me from immersion much more than poor quality models/textures.

Why would an image quality whore play on the sub-1080p resolutions of many PS4 games? The last time I played multiplatform games at 900p on a regular basis was in 2010. The appeal of the PS4 for a PC gamer are its exclusives, not its technical capabilities, and that includes the Pro.

While I am an image quality whore, I am also poor. Spending $100 on a feature that is rarely used is silly when I could just buy games instead. Fortunately, it doesn't seem to be the case with the Pro.
