Wednesday news, part two:
BioWare Montreal is being merged into EA Motive
http://www.pcgamer.com/bioware-montreal-is-being-merged-into-ea-motive/
BioWare Montreal was relegated to a "support studio" role back in May, following the tepid reaction to Mass Effect: Andromeda, a reduction in status that saw a number of its employees moved to the also-Montreal-based EA Motive. During a conference call earlier this month, however, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen revealed something deeper was going on when he said that the entire studio had actually been moved into Motive's offices.

Today is August 1 and, aside from coworkers pinching and/or punching you inappropriately, that means EA's humongous-robots-with-guns game Titanfall 2is now available on Origin Access, the subscription-based service that offers unlimited access to Origin games for $5 per month, or $30 per year.
Don't want to sign up for a monthly fee? There's also a Plan B on the table in the form of the new Titanfall 2 Ultimate Edition, which bundles all DLC maps, modes, and weapons that have been released so far, along with a few extra bonuses.
Kickstarter disaster Unsung Story has been sold to the developer of Barbie & Her Sisters Puppy Rescue

Oh, Unsung Story. You poor, poor mess of a Kickstarter project. Backers pledged $660,000 back in 2014, eager to see a new tactics RPG from the mind of Final Fantasy Tactics creator Yasumi Matsuno. Since then, it's been nothing but trouble and long stretches of silence from developer Playdek. It was put on hold in 2016, and though development seemingly continued after that, nothing materialized. And now if anything ever does, it won't be coming from Playdek. Today's backer update, the first since December 2016, announces that Unsung Story has been sold to another developer.
House Party is back on Steam, developer providing ‘censor removal patch’
http://www.pcgamer.com/house-party-is-back-on-steam-developer-providing-censor-removal-patch/
Late last week House Party was removed from Steam amid complaints over ‘pornographic’ content. On sale for a month in Early Access, it depicted fully simulated sex scenes with uncanny physics-boobed women, enabling the player character to whip their dick out at will (and put it on a charcoal barbecue, for instance). But now House Party is back, albeit in an altered state. The changes are hinted at in a recent blog by the developers at Eek! Games.
The Overwatch Summer Games event returns next week

It's summertime, which means it's time for the apparently annual Overwatch Summer Games. For those who remember, last year's Summer Games was the first Overwatch seasonal event—but it was tied thematically to the 2016 Rio Olympic games, and until now it was unclear if the event would be returning to the Overwatch universe this year.
New Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire video shows off the sprawling Neketaka metropolis

It looks like Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire will be a much bigger and more sprawling affair than the original game. And it makes sense, since its Fig campaign has quadrupled its $1m goal. This new video shows off the city of Neketaka, which is the biggest in Deadfire.

Both Chris and Fraser enjoyed Failbetter Games' Sunless Sea, awarding its base game and Zubmariner DLC a hearty 80 and impressive 90 in their respective reviews. The studio's next slice of narrative adventure comes by way of Sunless Skies—a skybound tale that aims to reimagine the "Victorian Empire in space". That's now got an Steam Early Access and GOG Games in Development launch date: August 30.
