They've never said (have they?) why Rocket League isn't cross play between Xbox and PS4, the reason might be because MS want PS4 users to sign in to Xbox Live. Yet it and many other games are cross play between PC and PS4 and no one cared. Even more cross play between PS4 and PC are coming soon.
Wait... new version of Minecraft? Would MS be so petty to hold a new version of Minecraft to ransom over cross play?
