Yeah, I think HxH and FMAB did it well, but I really cant stand shows that focus on friendship in the same way shonen anime does. We need more Seinfelds and Sopranos of anime. 

 

Lol im on mobile but look at characters like Faye Valentine, Misato-san, Saeko from Highscool of the Dead or Hitagi from Bakemonogatori. Its not a coincidence , or is it? 

Haha, what is wrong with Attack on Titan? Awesome show as well. I think we just don't agree on things. I have been watching anime since 2007-8, so it's not what got me into it.

I am happy to say I didn't need to google any of those characters :D

Attack on Titan is a show I got 8 episodes in, twice, before releasing it was just bad. maybe finishing it would change my perspective but the moment Eren turns into a titan and then Mikasa had that flash back where shes like "Ive been in love with Eren ever since he brutally stabbed people at the age of 9 becoming a psychopath in a minute despite not even knowing me and not even understanding the concept of the sex trade till a minute ago. Oh Eren u r so cool"

 

I actually havent seen Bakemonogatori, or that many anime. I only know her from...stuff. Even Revy from Black Lagoon is depicted with purple hair sometimes : D
