There's a dance company that a group of moms send their daughters to. The dancers dance in competition around the nation against other dance teams. Some dancers that do really well get rewarded with solo dances. The moms usually gets jealous of other dancers that aren't their daughters so that causes drama between them.

The show has been known to boost the careers of really popular dancers. Look at Maddie Ziegler who is one of the most famous dancers in the world. She started out in dance moms.
