Once shrooms made me feel very ill. It was all fun for a couple hours until I kinda crashed, laid down on the cold bathroom floor for a long time with my friends occasionally checking up on me. I still didn't feel very good the next morning when I had to drive my friends back to the airport. Luckily it was sunday morning and the airport was only 10 minutes away over local roads.
xtc plus going to a rave was definitely the most fun. A friend of mine was close to the source plus we knew the risks and what to look out for. Just book off the next day as a loss, I usually didn't get home until 11am anyway. It's all 20 years ago now, still waiting for those scary flashbacks or after effects...
It was mostly from partying on the weekends. Funny how it always ended up with gaming after everything closed. Micromachines on xtc, Age of Empires while stoned, Gran Turismo on cocaine, coding a game or trippy graphics demo on speed or caffeine pills.
