Well PS2 games on the PS4 have trophies, and Final Fantasy VII has trophies, so I can't imagine it'd take much work to add them, heck, I've added similar things to the games I've made, two of them after release as patches, and it was simple enough to work out, at least the developers here have the benefit of already having a trophy system established, lol.
