You pretty much summed up my thoughts perfectly lol wow. The last arc just felt......rushed......no development where there should have been and the power of friendship overcame all......again lol. But all in all it was a decent end to a Manga I enjoyed despite some obvious flaws.

It had a few strong moments, but overall just didn't have a lot of impact. Zeref and Acnologia were like the only recurring villains in the story, you'd think I'd be somewhat worried about them being an actual threat, but instead I was waiting for something that would make me chuckle now and again. Zeref's goal didn't even make sense, so I felt even less reason to care about his fight (though I did like the ending with him and Mavis).

I don't regret reading it, and even at its worst, there was still a charm to it that kept me going. If nothing else, I'd argue Hiro was definitely passionate about his work, even if he failed at long-term planning. The guy would randomly poop out two or three chapters a week sometimes, and constatly tweets artwork of his characters. Compare that to other mangaka of long-running manga, who clearly just wanted to move onto something else towards the end.

Even though I haven't read FT, it is nice to hear detailed thoughts on the series as a whole after its conclusion. It sounds kinda weird that a guy who doesn't like to draw battle scenes would end up doing battle manga, haha.

I wish I had done this with other works I've read, but with ones like Yamada and the 7 Witches, I was past done already and just wanted to move on.

Thanks. Despite how I talk about it, Fairy Tail was one of the first manga I was really into (I started around 2011 I think), so it holds some sentimental value for me. I think that's why I was able to force my way some of the mediocrity, it was kinda...comfortable I guess, like I would always know what I'd get out of it, for better or worse.

Man...I already miss it. It feels weird thinking I won't have FT to read this weekend.

It's kind of interesting but I absolutely hate many of Super Boom's favorite characters.  Like, really hate.

Funny...I don't think I've catted you in a while...

For the record, I don't completely disagree about Natsu. I think he's funny in comic relief scenes, and I like his relationship with Lucy, but on his own he ranges from boring to borderline retarded. I remember there was a scene in particular after the timeskip where Natsu berates Gray for leaving Juvia alone while he did timeskip stuff, only for Lucy to snap at Natsu for forgetting he did the exact same thing to her. His reaction made him look like a clueless moron, and I wish he got slapped, punched, or smashed with Luffy's Haki-enhanced fist for that.

For the rest...meh. Opinions. I could write a LAP on why I like the characters I do, but I'm feeling lazy tonight.
