I really wish someone would actually do a real "Best of all time" games list. Like, take out the nostalgia, take out the influence, and just have each game go toe to toe with each other. All the games you listed haven't aged well, and probably wouldn't even make a top 100 list.

How do you take out the nostalgia though? I don't factor in influence when placing games in best of all time lists, but it's much harder to take out the nostalgia. Besides, I don't think it's entirely fair to rate games as they are now, rather than how they were at their best against each other. I think a great example of that is Pokemon, the latest games have the best graphics, the most features and more Pokemon than any others, yet does that really make them better? I think it's much better to compare them to older games as those games were back then, rather than as they are now. That's why I'll always place the gen 2 Pokemon games at the top of my list, even though on a technical level they have been beaten the newer ones just don't give me the same level of enjoyment that I had while playing them back in the day.

"Best game ever made" is a very generic term that can be interpreted in any number of ways.  We have lots of top 100 lists from numerous websites, and to my knowledge all of them use nostalgia and influence in their arguments.  I'm saying, for once, make a top 100 list of the "true" best games as they stand today.  If you think zelda oot is better than botw, then prove it without nostalgia.

In other words, instead of playing vs mode in mario kart for the zillianth time, lets play some battle mode.
