I know of a few people who own PS4s as a FIFA machines and nothing else, to the point where I've heavily advocated and recommended Sony exclusives to them.

You know... I think this is really strange, and nonsense

I have a friend who owns a small videogame shop. Many times I saw him in situations like this:

Customer: I want a PS4 and a game of football

My friend: Ok. We have PS4 bundled with [game A] or [game B] or [game C) and you will get a code for download [game D] for free, and we have the latest FIFA for $ n and PES for $ n or used ones for $n. Which one do you prefer?

Customer: Don´t you have a PS4 with no games? I just want to play Fifa/PES. I don´t like games with story

My friend.: Sorry, we don´t have stand-alone devices anymore.... but the bundles cost the same price and you will get two games for free.

Customer: I don´t want them. I just want to play a game of football. Sell those games to someone´s else.

My friend: I can´t do it. It wouldn´t be honest from my part to do that as a seller. Besides, I can´t lower the price.

Customer: That´s ok, I´ll pay full price but take those games out of the box. I just want to play a football game.
