NoirSon said: Next, I am going to be that guy. Your idea of exclusives don't work with a few of your examples, Mario Kart was never on the GB or GBC, it his the GBA for its first portable outing. IF we count the GBC as a seperate system from the original GB, by your logic then the Gameboy never had a exclusive Zelda game due to Link's Awakening DX. The GC is in the same boat not only due to Twilight Princess but Wind Waker being ported to the Wii U or the various third party games that wound up on other consoles later but Nintendo's own 'New Play Control' series that ported both Metroid Prime games and the Pikmin titles to the Wii. And even back in the 90s the distance between the NA release of Super Mario 3 and Super Mario All star was only three years, never mind the alternate version they released later that included Super Mario World. The idea that Nintendo is doing something they have never done with porting games from the Wii U to Switch doesn't make sense given they do this often in their history. May not be in as short of a time period but never has never had a major system fail this badly as the Wii U. |
Wind Waker was ported to Wii U ten years after the original release, that time frame is long enough that it could be considered an exclusive. You could argue that the original Game Boy didn't have an exclusive Zelda, but Link's Awakening DX was released five years after the original release.
Mario Kart 8 DX and Pokken Tournament DX are still shitting on Wii U owners though, and the Wii U unlike the Gamecube will be remembered as a piece of shit which is why Nintendo can no longer be trusted to support a console and should go bankrupt.
