Dear fellow Splatoon 2 players. What's your favorite loadout in the game (Weapon, Shirt, Shoes, Hat)? What specials have been working for you so far? What do you think of the new specials in the game?
I've only just now hit level 4, but here's my impressions of weapons and loadouts. The Missile Launcher is really easy to dodge by swimming away from it when you see the lock on signal. Splashdown tends to telegraph too much, but if you jump onto somebody from high up, they won't see it coming. Ink Armor is great. The first submachinegun is one of the better weapons for low levels. It paints the ground quickly allowing you to build up super meter faster, and then you can use Ink Armor to help your team push for the win.
The Splattershots (they look like a super soaker) don't really seem to be very good right now. Their ink consumption is high and their fire rate is low. I think the big Triangle Shaped grenades are the best since they hit a huge area, and can be buffed to insanity via Sub-Weapon Damage up.
