http://www.pcgamer.com/a-new-observer-trailer-reveals-rutger-hauer-as-a-blade-runner-like-neural-detective/
Rutger Hauer has done a lot of cool stuff over the years, but his best-known role has to be that of Roy Batty, leader of the renegade replicants in Blade Runner. In August he will take the lead in a similarly dark tale of humanity's craptastic near future, in a "cyberpunk horror story" called Observer—but this time around, he's the lawman.
Ark: Survival of the Fittest is 'an experiment that didn't catch on but we do think there's a fun game there'

"Ark: Survival of the Fittest was for us an experiment," says Studio Wildcard's co-founder Jeremy Stieglitz. "It started as a mod and it was pretty cool and pretty fun. I lot of these games that are very successful—like PUBG, like, you know, Counter-Strike or DotA—originate as mods and can switch over to standalone titles."

Supergiant Games, the developer of Bastion and Transistor, announced in May that its next game, the party-based RPG Pyre, will be out on July 25. So that's not really news, then. But earlier today on Twitter, the studio said it again, and this time around it gave us a launch trailer to look at.

Released today and funded on Fig, it's a medieval fantasy-themed spin on the likes of SimCity and Cities: Skylines, except you'll also be defending your civilisation.

FIFA 14 will lose its online support on October 18, meaning you won't be able to compete against friends or otherwise in the game by the end of the year. Released in September 2013, the game will have received just over four years support before the publisher pulled the pin.
Abandon Ship teases horrid sea monsters and doomsday cults

Any game that describes itself as "FTL-meets-Sunless Sea in the golden age of sea" is likely to turn heads, and, having watched Abandon Ship's first public demo at this year's PC Gamer Weekender, it'd seem Fireblade Software's debut venture is on track to live up to its billing.

http://www.pcgamer.com/the-paid-mods-pipeline-is-a-way-for-us-to-get-more-free-art-content-to-players-says-ark-devs-on-future-of-sponsored-scheme/
In February, Ark: Survival Evolved developer Studio Wildcard unveiled a sponsored programme that would pay mod creators on a monthly basis for their work. Offering a stipend of $4,000 per month, each individual's work would be evaluated, and it would thereafter be determined if those modders would continue to be paid for the next month.

Citadel: Forged With Fire is an "online sandbox RPG" announced last week by Blue Isle Studios, the developer of Valley and Slender: The Arrival. And it's apparently well into development, because despite being revealed to the world so recently, it will hold its first open beta this weekend.
The beta will run from 9 am until midnight ET on July 22, which for those who don't have a calendar handy is this Saturday. During that time you'll be able to simply download the client from Steam and dive in. Citadel: Forged With Fire will be available for purchase on Steam Early Access shortly after the beta ends (July 26, specifically) for $25.
