As far as I'm aware, reading from his Nexus mod page, he doesn't dabble in messing around with the colours. What you are seeing is the slight change in lighting, like the time of day.
They look natural to me. I've seen old housing on my island that dates back hundreds of years that have ridges and masonry like it.
I'm not sure if there is a mod that makes them move to how another thinks they should though (according to the devs, that's how vanilla trees move against high winds).
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
