I haven't had a handheld since the gameboy. Was never interested in them except having the gameboy as a kid 25 years ago. But the Switch immediately interested me. I got rid of all my video games a few years ago and this was the first generation that I didn't buy anything and didn't have any plans to get a system again...until I heard about the Switch. The thing is just beautiful. Just got mine last week. Haven't even played in console mode yet, I'll mostly just play in handheld mode, even at home. Having a console experience in a portable is a pretty amazing thing!

Skyrim is kinda old but I think it'll probably have pretty good sales from fans who would love to play through it again on the go, plus it's a solid third party pickup to start to convince some of the ps/xbox crowd to pick up a Switch to play such titles anywhere. It's exactly the type of third party game that you never expect to see on a Nintendo console.

Did u have a Wii U. The 2 games I would buy on switch (BOTW & MK8) are both on Wii U so the incentive just isn't there. Skyrim just seems like the same thing: a game I already own, now with portable mode.

no, as i said i didn't get any current gen consoles and had no interest in them until the Switch. I can see their not being a huge need for a Wii U owner to get a Switch right now unless they are just interested in having the latest thing. But I think by the end of the year, between Splatoon 2, Mario Odyssey, a few other games, and the whole play console-level games anywhere, this will change. I was gonna wait until Mario Odyssey to get a Switch, even though I don't have a Wii U, but when there was finally a Switch available for me to purchase for the first time since it came out I just had to jump on it and I'm loving it!
