Does anybody think that Gendry could possibly be the Third Targaryen that seems to be what a lot of people are talking about (third Targaryen) I just find his small story arc so strange. If you dig deep enough and if he is Roberts son then he DOES have Targaryen in him as Rhaelle married Ormund Baratheon – Robert Baratheon’s grandfather. it seemed as if he was going to have a big part to play. Ned stark thought something of him, Melisandre saw him as special, he escaped the sacrifice all thanks to Davos then he's tossed into a boat and told to row and that's it.
It all just seems to be a bit pointless and a waste if he never makes a return. It's also been said the actor that plays him had been seen on set in Northern Ireland, Spain and Iceland.
