So, today I've finally managed to buy a Switch. After trying it for a little bit, I've started to make a list of accessories I need and might need for the console. The protecction plastic for the screen, a case for travels, an SD card for digital purchase, a battery charger and adapter for travels (the one included in the box is too big), a Pro controller to allow confortable multiplayer without using each of the joycons, the dumb device for the voice chat...

Holy shit, is it just me, or does the Switch needs an abnormal amount of accessories? I didn't need that many for my 3DS or my Wii. Do you think the console needs that many things, or is it just me? Does this happen to you as well? How did you solve it?

Glass Screen protector ~6$

Travel case ~13 to 19$

200 GB SDcard ~64$

Power bank ~30 to 50$

Switch Pro controller 69$

Hori nintendo switch chat headset ~30$

You can easily spend a additional +200$ before your Switch, is the way you want it to be, to do what its ment to.

Well, for me it is sort of adding the accessory costs of home and handheld consoles toghether.

Glass screen protector, travel case and SD card (albeit smaller) are all things I bought for my 3DS.

I definitevely bought additional wii motes for my Wii and a pro controller for my WiiU, plus an external harddrive for the latter (wich definitively offsets the smaller SD card in my till).

Now, I'd argue that you don't really need the headset, voice chat works without one if your phones speaker is loud enough and is more of 'nice-to-have'.

The powerbank is more expensive, but I did buy battery packs and a wii mote charger back in the day because I got annoyed with the constant battery changing.

I'd only consider a second 'travel dock' if it was 25$ or less seeing that you still have to buy the 30$ powersupply from ninty.

Overall the price is probably similar to homeconsole+handheld accessories.

I havent bought any of that yet, save for the glass screen protector. I've got the splatoon pro controller pre-ordered though and I plan on a second set of Joy-Con eventually. I'd like to get a powerbank and I'll cross the sd-card bridge when I get to it, hopefully prices will have come down a little by then.
