And now, part two:

Careful or you'll have someone's eye out with this new Evil Within 2 'Survive' trailer
http://www.pcgamer.com/careful-or-youll-have-someones-eye-out-with-this-new-evil-within-2-survive-trailer/
A new gameplay trailer for Bethesda's upcoming horror game The Evil Within 2 showcases some seriously unpleasant-looking bad guys, and beats the drum of a single, equally-unhappy theme: "This is all your fault." I mean, I've suspected for a while, but it hurts to have it spelled out...

A new Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr trailer showcases major 'alpha 2.0' update
http://www.pcgamer.com/a-new-warhammer-40000-inquisitor-martyr-trailer-showcases-major-alpha-20-update/
I played around with the first public alpha release of Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr that developer Neocore Games put out in February, and it was interesting, but also very bare-bones. Today the studio announced the release of the alpha 2.0 update, which balances classes and gameplay, adds new items and features, and upgrades the game's visual quality. Naturally, all of that calls for a new trailer, and so here you go.

Path of Exile: The Fall of Oriath is coming in August
http://www.pcgamer.com/path-of-exile-the-fall-of-oriath-is-coming-in-august/
Path of Exile: The Fall of Oriath, the expansion with "six acts and a whole lot of deicide," will be out on August 4, developer Grinding Gear Games announced today. The expansion will double the size of the current game and adds a new "Pantheon character customization system that lets players wield the power of the Gods themselves."

John Romero finally reveals who the original Doom Guy really is
http://www.pcgamer.com/john-romero-finally-reveals-who-the-original-doom-guy-really-is/
The cover for the original Doom is one of the most iconic pieces of videogame box art ever created. It's simple, stark, and perfectly evocative of the game experience: One man, unbowed and heavily armed, fighting off a horde of rampaging demons. But who is he? That's a question that, to be perfectly honest, I had never even considered before now. After all, it's just a drawing, right?

Hearthstone's Frost Festival brings free Arena wins and packs from the new set

After hosting a Fire Festival for the last two weeks, Hearthstone has cooled things down a bit with the start of the new Frost Festival. In addition to a Lich King-themed Tavern Brawl this week and some icy cosmetic changes, the festival brings some Arena-focused perks for players.

Hollow Knight's 'Hidden Dreams' update will release on August 3
http://www.pcgamer.com/hollow-knights-hidden-dreams-update-will-release-on-august-3/
Announced a while back, Hollow Knight fans have been eagerly anticipating the forthcoming Hidden Dreams update. Promised for some time this month, it'll actually come a tad later: on August 3 to be exact.

American Truck Simulator closes in-game road following real world landslide
http://www.pcgamer.com/american-truck-simulator-closes-in-game-road-following-real-world-landslide/
In his warm review last year, Andy suggested American Truck Simulator at launch was a "great start", but that it'd "really begin to take shape when more states and trucks [were] added". But what happens when its road networks are compromised by real world events? Art imitating life, I guess.

Darkwood release date set with eerie live-action trailer
http://www.pcgamer.com/darkwood-release-date-set-with-eerie-live-action-trailer/
Remember Darkwood? You know, the successfully crowdfunded top-down survival horror game that entered Early Access in 2014? That's right, the wonderful scare 'em up that was sort of reminiscent of Teleglitch but with a far more robust tool system whose slower pace in turn cranked its tension up to 11. Yeah, that one—it's now got a launch date. When? August 17.

Gorgeous adventure game Figment marks launch window with weird and wonderful music video
http://www.pcgamer.com/gorgeous-adventure-game-figment-marks-launch-window-with-weird-and-wonderful-music-video/
We first caught wind of Bedtime Digital Games' Figment in March—a musical action adventure game set against a lovely-looking, hand-drawn world filled with colour and puzzles and nightmarish adversaries. It's said to take place within the recesses of the human mind and, if its latest trailer is anything to go by, it seems its come on quite a bit since our last visit.
