Well, learning the radicals and stroke order makes things much easier. However, it does require a lot of practising, and constant review. Fortunately, the more you do and the more you learn, the easier it gets.

I personally recommend that you watch shows and videos in the respective languages with subtitles in your own language.Its how I learned English.
