Chinese and Japanese must actually be harder than german!Especially because they use a totally different systems of letters.

Do you have some kind of play on how to learn it or memorize it, seeing that your native language is English?(And thus the Japanese and Chinese Alphabet being very different)

Well, learning the radicals and stroke order makes things much easier. However, it does require a lot of practising, and constant review. Fortunately, the more you do and the more you learn, the easier it gets.
