But how is the PS4 beasting so much? Crash Bandicoot?

The two most powerful words in video game marketing: Limited. Edition.  The limited edition gold PS4 was launched last month and scalpers and customers alike gobbled it up.

As for Xbone colapse, this is in my opinion the result of the natural late spring/early summer decline crossed with severely eroded consumer confidence.  Canceling Scalebound, closing studios, these decisions didn't gut Microsoft's BIGGEST franchises but it no doubt was a greater symbolic loss in consumer minds than MS thought it would be, implying a lack of confidence in Xbox by Microsoft and a lack of new game focus for the Xbox brand.  And the Xbox One X announcement coming with very few new games alongside it has no doubt left those not interested in the super premium consoles (ie 80% of the dedicated console consumer base) feeling a bit left out in the cold.
