Is there anything in the books about how well dragons perform in a blizzard? They're too OP if there's no cold penalty. Feel bad for the white walkers.

The Long Night predated any dragons in Westeros so hard to say how much it will affect then. We do know the Doom of Valyria was possibly a massive volcanic event so intense enough flames killed hundreds of dragons.

Aegon subdued the North not through combat, but submission by the king who knelt. Typically wars end in the north when Winter comes. This is years of feet upon feet of snow so be awful conditions to do about anything. This is why when Winter came to the Wall Stannis moved south, but was stuck in the snows before he got to Winterfell. Have to wait for book six to see how he fares dealing with such a formidable climate obstacle.

My guess is a second Long Night would be a challenge even with dragons.
