Following in the footsteps of Children of Zodiarcs, Black The Fall is the latest Square Enix Collective game that's also the debut venture of the Bucharest-based Sand Sailor Studio. Said to reflect the team and their families' "first-hand experiences", the sombre puzzle platformer aims to "capture the feeling of what it was like to live in the communist state."

Deathstorm – Obliteration is quite possibly the most perfectly distilled videogame title of all time. It's the sort of thing that demands to be written in all-caps, each and every time it's mentioned. (Alas, my editors demand otherwise, so that's that.) It is also the third and final chapter in the Sniper Elite 4 DLC campaign that debuted in March, which developer Rebellion announced today will be out on July 18. It will mark the conclusion of elite sniper Karl Fairburne's mission to foil the latest diabolical Nazi plot, and also adds new multiplayer characters, maps, and an "Authentic Plus" difficulty level.

Blue Isle Studios, the developer of Slender: The Arrival and Valley, has announced that it's working on a new project of a considerably broader scope called Citadel: Forged With Fire. The new game is "a massive online sandbox RPG rife with spellcasting, building, exploring and crafting," the studio said, and it's actually just a couple of weeks away from an Early Access debut on Steam.

Empyre: Lords of the Sea Gates, announced today by developer Coin Operated Games, is an isometric RPG that puts a "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" twist on an early 20th century "neo-Victorian" New York City. In this alt-history timeline, the oceans have risen and the city is flooded—but none of the water is any good for drinking. It thus falls to you, the hero, to embark upon a quest to find a fresh water supply, picking up companions and putting down foes along the way.
