| JEMC said: Hi! Does any of you use Firefox? I'm asking because I don't know why, but today it has decided to block my access to a lot of sites for "insecure connection" and I want to know if it's something messing with my antivirus or it's Firefox that's acting nuts. For reference, I can't access Videocardz.com but I can go to Wccftech. Or I can go to Anandtech, Guru3D or Tom's Hardware, but I can't access Bit-Tech.net, HardOCP, TechPowerUp or PCPer. |
Firefox and Chrome too as of late are really tough on bad certificates. There might've been an update that labels specific attributes in the cypher suite or certificate chain as insecure. The easiest thing would be to check what FF is saying about the certificate of the site.
You can also post a screen shots.
edit: just checked the sites with the latest version of firefox, they seem fine. It might be a security application messing with the certificates. Or it could be a virus that fucked with your host file. But I would have to see the site's certificates first.
