I had been a very very passionate gamer back in SNES/N64 days, but since then i keep playing less and less.
Nowadays I can not handle too complex controls anymore. I have no problem at all with a pc keyboard, even not to go for strange shortcuts. But something like move + click left stick (for crouch or so) + pressing L1/L2 (for drawing weapon) + using right stick for viewing + using a face button or R1/R2 or whatever additional buttons for some action is simply too much for me.
Moreover the front shoulder button (L/R on e.g. WiiU Pro-Controller, Switch-Pro-Controller and WiiU-Gamepad) are just a pain for me. I can barely reach them while having the controller in a comfortable position. And having fingers on both of them really as a default position is even worse, then my hands feel like 2 minutes until pain.
So i had voted for [x]They are too complicated
