There are reports that minimum wage workers in Seattle are making less since the minimum wage went up since the employers decided to cut back on the hours they can work. There is a point where raising the minimum wage does more harm than good.
But $7.70 an hour is not acceptable. The answer is somewhere in the middle, not pretending inflation hasn't happened for the last few decades.
