Will O'Neill's 2013 narrative adventure game Actual Sunlight was a sobering yet excellent introspective exploration of isolation, suicide and socially misfitting protagonist Evan Winter's place in an increasingly dysfunctional society. O'Neill's latest venture, Little Red Lie, is due this Friday, July 7—which is no less emotive, evocative and relatable, and is yet another stellar example of thoughtful contemporary narrative adventure done well.

Mass Effect: Andromeda may not be getting any single-player DLC (although maybe it will, too—nobody really knows!) but it will, based on a very brief teaser released yesterday, be getting a new, tougher "Platinum" difficulty level for its multiplayer Apex missions.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is now in closed beta testing, and that means it's time for the leaks to begin. First up is a list of 16 of the game's Hero characters and their unique abilities, courtesy of redditor uninspired_zebra. Most of them aren't really surprises—for a galaxy-spanning empire, this whole "Star Wars" thing sure does seem to come down to the same dozen-or-so guys, over and over again—but there may be a few unexpected appearances, so if you're looking to avoid spoilers you should stop reading now.

It was reported in June that the Xbox One X version of Forza Motorsport 7, with those gorgeous 4K textures, will be a whopping 100GB download. For people with any kind of data cap, that's bad news: In my case, it represents almost half of my total monthly allocation. The situation appeared to be the same for the PC, as the Windows Store app in Win10 lists an "approximate size" of 99GB. But that doesn't necessarily reflect the actual download size.

If you've been on the fence as to whether or not to purchase Studio Wildcard's dinosaur survival game, you've officially missed your window to get in on Early Access pricing. Ark: Survival Evolved is now $59.99 in the Steam store, "to ensure retail parity" for the game's full launch in August, according to Ark's official twitter account.

Towards the end of May, Tarsier Studios released an 'accolades' trailer that, towards its end, hinted at new DLC. This was confirmed last month with the announcement of Secrets of the Maw—a three-chapter run that tells the tale of The Runaway Kid, a prisoner who visits previously unseen areas of the Maw in search of an escape. The Depths is due tomorrow, July 7, and has so far teased a handful of screens.

Fans have been busy touted Lich King-related rumours since—which the official Chinese Hearthstone website appeared to underscore earlier today via a short-lived leak.
