As long as news is a business, it's not going to be unbiased. They're fighting for ratings, just like all the other TV shows out there. It's effectively no different than two sitcoms going head to head. They do whatever it takes.
What we've seen mainly from the rise of cable news is that everyone is going hard after their key demographic. Fox News basically programs for old, conservative, white males. They know where their bread is buttered and they give their key demographic what they want to see.
