The thing is though, the video mentions one company stating that they would rather have a 10 year loyal customer, than one who simply buys 10 GPU's and that's it entirely. This would hurt a company like AMD if miners simply snatched up 10 RX Vegas and then called it a decade vs those who want an RX vega but can't buy one due to miners and generally get put off and shop from Nvidia or even like the video mentioned, the possibility of some going back to consoles.

I honestly find miners to be more of a problem group than any other out there. Yes they will benefit *a* company in the short term, but the long term means they will suffer greatly as those miners will either be gone or somewhere else, meaning that company has hardly any loyal customers left, all because miners drove them to somewhere else less frustrating.

I don't think general consumers like the idea of short supply and higher spike price hikes for GPu's, Miners don't care because they are making dosh from mining and selling to chumps.
