It's no longer timed, MS bought full lifetime exclusivity a few years back after the positive reception when it was revealed.

We are 99.9% sure that we will be on Mac (it's a priority!) - but probably not right at launch. It is an Xbox One exclusive, so it won't be coming out on PS4!

 

Sequels could come to PS4 potentially, since StudioMDHR owns the IP, but not the first game. 

I'm sure that just means the original game, as in as is.  Nothing a Special Edition couldn't potentially take care of.  Though, even if that doesn't happen I'm sure we'll see a PS5 release around launch.  It happened to quite a few of 360 indie exclusives this gen.

For now, at least I'll have Steam and GOG if I don't want to wait a year or two.  And my point still stands about MS not seeing anything from Steam and GOG releases, as they are not publishing the game on those platforms.  MS just wanted to keep it away from the PS4.
