My girlfriend bought one. Only other video game console she has owned is Playstation 2. She is 20 so in her gaming mind, Playstation is to her what Nintendo is to me. Now you know of one person that is not a Nintendo loyalist that bought Switch.

I don't know her though. You could be just making it up. Until the Switch gets past that 15-20 million mark we can't say that many people outside the very loyal nintendo fanbase are buying it. The first 10-15 million sales for any console will be reached by just the harcore fans and people who just have to buy every new piece of tech.
