In high school, I recall people turning up their noses at my like for Wind Waker.

I'm not going to apologize for my love of cartoony and colorful art styles.

That's funny you say that. I kinda did that when I first heard about the game, but I bought it anyways... and it was greeat!!!

But yeah, never feel the need to apologize for that.

They're not wholly evil. Just some moves in recent years come off as anti-consumer: inhibiting crossplay and console mods, showing off games several years away from release on platforms that ultimately don't get said games, denying PS users EA access, duping people into buying No Man's Sky, final products not always matching what was shown off in trailers, trying to claim "Let's Play" for themselves when it belonged and thankfully still belongs to everyone...

By that logic Nintendo and Microsoft are evil too.

A number of these anti-consumer policies I listed are exclusive to Sony.

I wonder if anybody could come up with such a robust list of anti-consumer practices that Nintendo or Microsoft have engaged in.....?

Bolded: So, if I were to distill that idea down to it's essence, what would I get? That The Last Guardian was announced on PS3 and eventually found it's way to the PS4? I assume this is the specific scenario you're referencing, otherwise you could just say "canceled games". It's huge stretch to call that anti-consumer. If anything, it's laudable it ever came out given the circumstances.

The Last Guardian and FF15 are games that took a very long time to get out and not on platforms they were initially showed off on...

Kingdom Hearts 3 is another that comes to mind. FF7R and Shenmue 3 are also titles that look like they'll be missing in action for years to come...

As for canceled games, all three do this so not fair to single out Sony on this.
