It was obvious MS was going to release a more powerful refresh. I think there are Pro owners who want the most powerful hardware, and Pro owners who are Playstation gamers. The ones who only care about hardware will just pick up an X as well, and the Playstation gamers won't care about the superior hardware of the X because it won't play Uncharted 4 or Gran Turismo 7. I don't think there are many, if any, who are "discouraged" by the X.
