17m seems like double what I would have expected going by a slight decline in the Xbox brand as it loses competitiveness with playstation and now a third major competitor with the Switch. I'm not expecting it to do good business in mainland Europe at all really.
However saying that its really down to pricing, if Microsoft decides to take a large loss on each unit and undercut the ps4 pro price then I could see it becoming much more competitive. If they introduce a budget design of xbox one undercutting the ps4 price and bundling a few games I can see interest increasing which would have a knock on effect to their premium X model. Basically though I think they will really struggle to hit 10 million let alone 17 million.
