I wanted to share the story of my local club FC Cincinnati playing in the US Open Cup (think of it as US version of FA Cup or similar competitions).
FC Cincinnati plays in the second tier and after shocking top tier Columbus hosted Chicago (led by Bastian Schweinsteiger) last night in the round of 16. We gave everything and depsite conceding much of the posession we stayed in and had a few chances ourselves. 0-0 through 120 minutes and it came to penalties...
Mitch Hildebrandt became a club legend last night in front of 32,000+ passionate fans. It was among the best sporting events I've ever attended and will never forget it. I love this sprot so much and seeing my local community embrace it with such fervor is surreal and wonderful.
