Wouldn't that mean Earth will eventually reach the speed of light? And if so, what is our current speed in relation to the non-moving space outside? |
They use a claim from special relativity that the speed of an object can only come close to the speed of light. The idea is that an object with mass will require increasing energy to maintain acceleration and infinite energy to reach the speed of light. This means that the universal acceleration must be creating more energy every second which is a clear violation of the conservation of energy. I don't think they acknowledge that though.
