Yeah its true. Found out the post was correct but it was very close (a million or so difference mostly due to the initial launch of the Xbox 360). Was busy with other stuff and ended up closing the stats I calculated... I gave up posting as a result... You are correct, the Xbox 360 from this point on passes the Xbox One easily. It had about a 11m sales year for its 4th full year and doesn't really slow down in the middle years of the system, while Xbox One doesn't look like it will achieve that number for 2017.
