It's a very average game, the 81 metacrtic score proves that, it's the type of game Sony just shits out and doesn't even care, but something that can take off on a Nintendo console due to no competition and people being really desperate for something decent to play.

You don't know what are you talking, no its not average game, its something new, great, and fun, and sales and popularity of game proves that, preorders of Splatoon 2 also proves that, also fact that people were saying for Splatoon that's one of best game and best new IP this gen, even before this thread, proves that. Main reason why game has 81 metacritic score is because game had very small amount of content on launch, but only few months after launch game had double of launch content.
