CNN and other cable news channels are being strangulated by an increasing number of people cutting the cord, whether it is because they are fed up with the corporate media's BS or switching to streaming services. Instead, people are getting their news from alternative media, independent journalists, and Youtube political commentators and a lot of them have a larger internet audience than the corporate media outlets.

 All of these people will have agendas to push , just because you get your news from another source doesn't make it better or worse , what alternative media  does is further muddy the waters of a medium that's never been clear , the real problem lies in editoral comments encroachment into the domain of objective reporting and it's impact on further diminishing the 4th estate , media over the years has had it fair share of bad reporting, but it has also impacted the world by shedding light on untold stories that have righted wrongs served justice an helped the community , we have to be careful about throwing out the baby with the bath water.
