The internet wasn't really what we were told it would be. For every good thing it has given this world, just as many bad things have come with it as well. The ability for charismatic nut jobs to influence the average human being, who's IQ is not up to snuff and able to sniff out a con-job, is there now. It works like a digital flute whereby millions of people are able to be led off a cliff of lies and misinformation. I really don't know how to fix the problem without taking everything off the grid.

I know personally, if some super hacker group DOES take us back to the pre-internet days, I won't cry over it. Way too many digusting things will be gone for me to care about the few good things I'd be losing.

I'm with ya on that one.  I wish there was a different version of the internet that was for business and nothing else.  You could pay your bills online, shop online, maybe there would be an email service too, but that's it.

But at the end of the day it wouldn't change anything.  If there were no internet they'd come to your door.  People are always going to find ways to manipulate the masses, just like they have since the dawn of man.

There is such a version as this.  It's called self control.  The internet is just a tool.  You are the one who uses it how you wish.
