Oh, that looks interesting. Where is that from?

Shokugeki no sama. The latest chapter. That is a joke panel though. Basically they are all chefs that work with really weird ingredients, so the joke is what if they all worked together.

Thanks! Now I'm curious about this manga. The characters in panel look quite interesting, and I've heard some good things about this manga. I'll need to add it to my list.

So for awhile now, there were a few topics I wanted to do for the thread, but I had to do a bit of digging around my favorites, but I think I'm ready to start one now:

Favorite Moments in Manga (You've Read)

For this one, I just wanted to talk about moments in manga you've read that are such great moments, every now and then you go back to that moment and re-read it, just because it's fun to do so. Does anyone else do that? I know I do for some. One moment I love is from Koe no Katachi : the story about the boy who befriends and tries to right his wrongs he did to a deaf girl he met in elementary school. I could do multiple on just this one manga, but my no. 1 favorite moment is this one:

You're not kidding.  That manga was incredible.  So many amazing moments.

The one that always gets me, that I still think about sometimes, is when he realized that she wasn't coming to school early to wipe nasty message off her desk, she was doing it to wipe nasty messages off his desk.  That tiny little revelation honestly made me tear up at the time and still makes my throat a little tight now.

Other than that ... this is hard.

One I can remember is from Skip Beat!  It was when Kyouko was a new actress and she got the part to play the bad girl in a remake of a super popular drama named Dark Moon.  The problem was, the original actress for the first version was constantly saying he was doing the part wrong and that she wasn't good enough.  It was really in Kyouko's head.  However, she disappeared for awhile and everyone was thinking she ran away but when she came back, she had found her own version of that character and had completely slipped into that persona.  It blew everyone away and it was so awesome.  I loved that that part.

The manga/anime had a ton of great moments.

Beyond that, I'll have to think about it and see what I can remember.

Yeah, I've gotten a few volumes on the manga, and re-reading it has been such a joy. It's a nice reminder of why I love it so much, haha.

As for Skip Beat, I haven't read that one before, though I've heard it's quite good. I remember seeing it a lot in stores back in the day, but I never picked it up. I'll need to change that some time.
