Nintendo's "history" of supply issues has largely been came they introduced a bold new product after just having one of their worst consoles(sales wise) in history... and yet people think they're keeping stock low on purpose? Sure I guess it's possible, and if they were doing so they certainly wouldn't admit it. But it's very unlikely especially for the Wii in particular.
